Dominic Blakemore is to succeed Richard Cousins as Chief Executive Officer at catering giant Compass Group (CG).
Blakemore, currently Chief Operating Officer for Europe, will replace Cousins, who has served in the role for 11 years, in April 2018.
The 48-year-old initially joined CG in 2012 as Chief Financial Officer after two years in the same role at Iglo Foods.

He will take on the Deputy Chief Executive Officer role for six months to smoothen the handover, with Cousins eventually retiring from the group in September 2018.
“I am honoured and delighted to be appointed as Compass’ next CEO," said Blakemore in a statement.
"I am fortunate to be supported by a very strong senior management team and together we will continue to build on the success achieved under Richard’s leadership."
CG Chairman Paul Walsh added: "Dominic has the leadership skills combined with the industry and operational experience to build on the Group’s strong track record, and as CEO to lead Compass to continued future success."
