Profile: Vodafone UK's new Chief Technology Officer, Scott Petty
Vodafone UK has appointed Scott Petty to the role of Chief Technology Officer, replacing Jorge Fernandes. But how has Petty's career readied him for the role?
Scott Petty steps up to the key role of CTO at Vodafone UK after over four years as director of the group's technology strategy for Enterprise.
In that position, Petty led on technology delivery and performance for Enterprise customers in Fixed, Mobile, Unified Communications and Internet of Things (IoT), with customer experience at the heart of his strategy.
After joining the group in 2009 as Director of Business Services and Products, he became Director of Business Product Development in 2012, a position he held for 18 months before taking on Enterprise.

Petty cut his teeth at South African IT services firm Data Dimension, where he was Chief Information Officer and Chief Operating Officer in Australia before taking on group responsibility for its Services Division.
Upon his appointment to his latest role, Petty said: "I’m delighted to be joining Vodafone UK at this exciting time, as we drive forward the likes of artificial intelligence, 5G and full fibre broadband, all of which will power the new digital economy."
