Profile: Accenture's new Netherlands Managing Director, Irine Gaasbeek
Business Chief profiles Irine Gaasbeek, who has been appointed Country Managing Director for Accenture in the Netherlands.
Irine Gaasbeek will move from her role as Accenture Netherlands' finance chief to take over the top job at the beginning of June.
Her ascension to the Country Managing Director position marks a notable point of progress for someone who has spent her entire career at Accenture after graduating from the Delft University of Technology in 1994.
Gaasbeek's first job with the multinational consultancy was as a business analyst, consultant and program manager on large-scale IT and business transformation programmes. in 2003, she progressed to become a Senior Manager in the utilities sector.

By 2006, Gaasbeek had become a Partner and moved into the Resources industry, and in 2010 she became head of Accenture’s SAP practice in the Netherlands before taking the Financial Services role in 2014.
According to Accenture's statement, her role as MD will involve 'leading its business and operations in the country, with a specific focus on growth by innovation and digital transformation'.
"Possessing a powerful combination of skills, experience and drive for helping clients, Irine is a seasoned leader and the right person to run our business in the Netherlands," said Jo Deblaere, chief operating officer at Accenture.
"With extensive experience across our Dutch business, she has an impressive track record of collaborating with clients and growing practices, which will serve her – and Accenture – extremely well in her new role."
