Daimler in talks to acquire Heycar stake from Volkswagen
The German automobile firm, Daimler, has entered discussions with the German automaker, Volkswagen, to acquire a stake in the used-car portal Heycar.
The firms are reportedly in advanced talks over the stake acquisition in the firm which Volkswagen launched in 2017, Handelsblatt reported.
The news was announced by a spokesperson for Volkswagen Financial Services on 22 August.
According to sources, Daimler is interested in a 20% stake in the company. The deal could be announced next week.
Volkswagen set up Heycar in October, and has since reached 300,000 vehicles to feature for sale on the portal.
