The consumer group, Which?, has released its top five companies for online shopping in the UK.

Topping the list is the beauty retailer, LizEarle.com, which scored a rating of 94% from a survey of 10,000 people.

The latest annual online shop survey was based on the experience of Which? members over the past six months.

The following four companies all scored 93% in the survey: RicherSounds.com, Rohan.co.uk, SeasaltCornwall.co.uk, and WexPhotoVideo.com.

“It was difficult to find a category that these retailers did not achieve a five-star rating in,” Which? stated.

According to the survey, 68% of respondents like to shop online due to the convenience of shopping at a time that works for them, whilst 63% claim it is easier to find products online.

57% of those surveyed suggested there were more products online and 56% of consumers said it is easier to compare prices online.

“The online shops with the happiest customers tend to be the ones that offer a personal service, quality items and deliver quickly and conveniently,” stated Harry Rose, Editor of Which? magazine.

“Where the big players are lacking, either with poor service or confusing websites, smaller more specialised online retailers have seized the opportunity to make their mark and give shoppers exactly what they want.”
