Introducing Oliver Wight's NEW Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Workshop
Les Brookes, CEO of Oliver Wight EAME, explains why Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is integral to the success of a business and why the company’s new IBP workshop can help organisations begin their journey from good, to outstanding.
What do Novartis, Mondelez and 3M all have in common?
Aside from a firm grasp on global markets in their respective industries and a well-earned spot in the Fortune Global 500, all three are Oliver Wight customers. Originator of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and pioneer of Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Oliver Wight has launched a brand-new IBP workshop for 2019, as it celebrates 50 years of guiding business transformation.
In this article, Les Brookes, CEO of Oliver Wight EAME, explains why IBP is integral to the success of a business and why the company’s new IBP workshop can help organisations begin their journey from good, to outstanding. Brookes has a track record for delivering high performance business improvement, working with some of the world’s leading organisations in supply chain optimisation and Integrated Business Planning.
Isn’t IBP just S&OP under a different name?
To put it bluntly, no. S&OP starts and stops with supply chain, whereas IBP is a fully integrated business planning process adopted across the entire organisation, establishing a business plan over a 24-to-36 month rolling horizon. It integrates financials and product portfolio management with demand and supply planning, as well as the supporting business processes, to provide an accurate view of the business. In this way, leaders can make informed decisions and deploy their strategy to best effect.
That’s where many other ‘IBP’ providers stop. But IBP isn’t just about improving processes – it’s about delivering growth, increasing margin, reducing costs and delivering cultural transformation. And this is what business leaders, senior executives and management teams learn in our new one-day workshop.
Why is IBP so crucial for business success?
As well as creating a framework to deliver growth and profits, IBP helps businesses to survive and thrive in volatile, modern-day markets; Brexit is an obvious case in point. IBP enables organisations to identify gaps – opportunities and threats – early, so they can adjust business plans in plenty of time, to facilitate the best outcome. It’s no secret that the best in business are responsive, flexible and react quickly, and are motivated by a future-focused mindset to ensure sustainable success.
How will this workshop benefit businesses?
Many companies that think they’re doing IBP, aren’t – at least, not properly. So, we’ve designed our new workshop to set up business leaders with the insight and knowledge they need to start their journey to business transformation and world-class performance on the right foot.
Workshops take place across the UK and Switzerland. Book at www.oliverwight-eame.co.uk/IBPworkshop and use PL20 for a 20% Early Bird discount (valid until 30th September).
