GP Global: expands it European supply network
Leading integrated energy services provider and product manufacturer - GP Global - further expands its supply network operations in Europe.
Further strengthening its bunkering network, GP Global has established a new delivery infrastructure to supply the port of Hamburg, Germany with Marpol and IMO 2020 compliant Marine Gasoil using a 1500dwt bunker barge. With this establishment GP Global has expanded its geographical supply reach for its North Western market, with Peter Beenlenkamp will be leading the operations in Hamburg, alongside Chris Tood, head of Bunkers in the West of Suez.
GP Global has a current network of bunker trading offices in London, Geneva, Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, and Houston, alongside representatives in Lagos, Dar el Salaam, Nairobi, Delhi and Shanghai. The new expansion will compliment its current portfolio of supply locations as the group continues its growth.
“As the bunkering landscape continues to shift into new directions, supplying for Hamburg Port is a testament to the success the company has achieved across its business units, in the face of a challenging global economic climate. The Hamburg market has long been on our radar and we are very excited about the added value GP Global will be bringing to what has long been a static market,” commented GP Global’s Jt. Managing Director, Prerit Goel.
This announcement follows the company’s previous expansions already this year into the Americas - with the appointment of Mr Gene Owen as President of Trading, based in Houston, Texas, focusing on building a local team, establishing significant relationships and driving new opportunities for the Company - and its further expansion in the UAE.
“Being a neighbouring port to Rotterdam, the setup of our new Hamburg operation is a great fit for our further expansion into the North Western market, and the world. Our bunkering division continues to go from strength to strength as we continue to add new physical supply ports as well as new offices and talented individuals to the portfolio of locations West of Suez,” added Chris Todd, Head of Bunkering, West of the Suez at GP Global.
