Inga Beale, CEO of  Lloyd's of London, heads this year’s list of the one hundred top GBLT business leaders published by OUTstanding and the FT.

Inga is not only the Chief Executive of a corporate body that boasts revenues of around £25 billion and in charge of Lloyd’s that is central to the London insurance market employing around 34,000 people, she is the first female CEO in its 327 year history. She is also one of the few – perhaps the only – openly bisexual business leaders at her level. She took the reins at Lloyd’s of London at the start of 2014. Since then she has launched a market modernisation programme, increased Lloyd’s global presence by opening offices in Dubai and Beijing and spearheaded Inclusion@Lloyd’s, an initiative which aims to ensure Lloyd’s is a diverse and inclusive market. She has also been instrumental in the launch of Pride@Lloyds, an internal LGBT employee resource group, and has supported LGBT insurance employee network LINK.

Alan Joyce, chief executive of Qantas, is placed second, and HSBC's UK and Antonio Simoes, CEO of HSBC Bank plc is third.
